International Lolita Day and Tea party

First of all Happy Belated Lolita Day! I hope you all had a lovely time! And made something nice of your day. Let me know what you did I'm very curious to know.

Well I celebrated Lolita day for the first time this year. Last year I totally forgot and I ended up doing something not very Lolita like.

But this year I received my new dress:D I also baked (loads), wrote to my pen pals wishing them a great day and attended a tea party the day afterwards. Which I will get to shortly.

Firstly I'd like to coo about my lovely new dress. Which I've fallen in love with already. I'm not too sure what it's called but it's got Hansel and Gretel on it with a little gingerbread house. It's in pink JSK with buttons at the front. Which, may I say, are very convenient. I prefer taking my dresses off that way. And may I remark that this dress is SUPER comfy. It's the most comfortable dress I own. I bought the dress 2nd hand from a forum member. I'm so glad she was selling it ^-^.

I was so happy with this chord. It was one of the first co-ordinations that I actually felt like a real Lolita in. It made me feel really happy.

Coming on to the Tea party, my dear friend Deborah has organised a lovely tea party at her house. I absolutely love her tea parties. They're always such fun and the food is always delicious. She basically makes most of the stuff my herself. The rest of us also bought our share of cupcakes and salads.

Attending ladies were, Rowan, Toty, me and of course our host Deborah. Though the group was small we still had a blast.

I ate my first macaroon that day. I had never been very fond of them. They strangely reminded me of merengue. Which taste utterly disgusting. But I had to admit that macaroons are actually quite nice tasting. Mine was pretty pink and strawberry flavoured. Hmm my favorite. The one I ate was also home made.

Once again I had a lovely day and I was so glad to send it with such lovely ladies.

I hope to write a new entry soon. But this is it for now.

New Design and Room Ideas

Hello dear readers,

I've finally completed my blog make-over. It took me some time creating the perfect banner and I'm super pleased with the outcome.
I've decided to keep my blog name after all. I just couldn't part with it, so I made it look way cuter in the new banner instead :)
I hope you like the new layout and banner just as much as I do.

Also.....I'll be moving out of my old room and up into the attic. When it's all done up I will be decorating it all Loli like^^ I've already got all of my furniture.
Here are the colour's I've decided on:

Pastel green

Pastel pink/baby pink

Lavender

I just randomly chose these colours because I like them but they actually happen to fit quite well together. I had considered using pastel blue, but blue makes me feel all cold. It's more of a bathroom colour to me. So I scrabbled that off my list.

I decided that most of the walls will be in pastel pink, and one side of the roof (attic is in an angle shape) will be in the green colour. Lovely blossom patterns are spread all over it in pink accents. Most of the decoration will be in lavender. Things like rugs, curtains, decoration things etc. And my furniture is all white. 

I've searched around quite a lot either on Tumblr, other Lolita blogs, magazines you name it, for inspiration and it was quite hard finding something that I like and suits me and is Lolita like too. I found Shelby Cloud's bedroom very creative. I loved how the ceiling was painted as little pink clouds, and that she decorates the walls with shelves with an extra hint of cuteness to them.

I don't personally like placing things on walls so that I can't get them off again. I tend to change my mind a lot about my rooms's design and decoration. A kind of habit of mine.

Another lovely bedroom inspiration I got was just yesterday. From a fellow blogger Rosalynn from LolitaWonderland. She had placed photo's of her Lolita outfit and posed in front of her wardrobe. I noticed the wall's wallpaper straight away. It was a lovely "blue" flower pattern. Like I said before, blue is a bathroom colour, but it looked so beautiful. I couldn't help but drewl.

A little Easter suprise!

Wauw I can't believe how quickly times gone by. The easterbunny is on it's way dilivering colourful eastereggs to all the little boys and girls around the world.

I will definitely be enjoying my easter brunch tomorrow morning! Warm croissants, and lovely butter smothering over it. ^^

I'd like to celebrate it in a lolita way so I thought I'd start it with this little poem:

Update to a long lost period

My my it's been a while yet again. My apologies for my little vacation. But I must say it did me good. I've been quite busy in a Lolita and non Lolita way.

Here's a quite recap of what has been happening in my life Lolita wise;

Well I had finally visited the long awaited HyperJapan. I had been wanting to go since last year and was so happy to go this year. I only stayed 1 day(Saturday) but will definitely be visiting all three days next year! Yea you heard right, it's a definite "GoGo."
I think I bought myself crazy on jewelry there^^ Plus two new bob wigs. One in brown and the other a split pink and black. I also attained my first black JSK. It's from Metamorphose and I love it! < 3

Other than that I've been to a High tea of a friend. It was a Christmas edition so we exchanged gifts to one another^^ Of course there was a good share of cupcakes, sweets and tea.^^ Later on we did some DDR dancing to Winx club :P and did some Disney karaoke. It was hilarious and so much fun! I felt sad that we had to leave at 5 already. Together with the remainder of the group we traveled to where I lived and met up with my boyfriend to have diner at a local Chinese restaurant. I've always wanted to have dinner after a Lolita meet with the remaining Lolita's. I'd seen it so many times before and had longed to try it myself. All on all it was such a lovely day!

And just last weekend I attended another HighTea hosted by another friend. It was so much fun and delicious. I made chocolate heart shaped cupcakes:) (everyone loved them;)) I wore my Meta JSK to this event combined with a white blouse. The coordinate looked pretty cute^^
We finished the evening with pepperoni pizza and Kamikaze girls:) How perfect can an evening among loli friends get?:P

Other than that it's been quite quiet in the Lolita life. I will be attending a Lolita Goth meet in May, which I'm really looking forward to. I will use my Meta JSK to create a cute outfit.
It will be a fun filled day I'm sure. I mean we're going to visit a castle. What can get more fairytale like? :)

Some non Lolita happenings include me being being busy with school. I started an arts school this year and I'm enjoying it so far. I've already made some friends and we have our laughs.
Other than that I was laid off my job, which isn't too pleasing. I'm hoping to find a new one soon in order to continue saving for Japan and Lolita. Well that was it my dearies.
