Busy Summer Ahead!

Finally there is some action in my life. I've been so preoccupied with work, chores and my new house that I didn't even get the change to just sit and chill for a moment.
I've also missed wearing Lolita so much. I got to wearing it for a little mini shoot a week ago for a new Facebook pic. Finally worked out how to put on my short brown wig. I was mega pleased with the out come.
But the upcomming events are going to stir my little still life up a bit. This comming weekend is the Gothic festival Summer Darkness. There will be a lolita fashion show plus a meet-up afterwards. I can't wait to attend. But have no idea what to wear:P
I've purchased so many new things lately which I haven't even had the chance to wear yet. And my long wanted dream dress is on it's way to me too:D MILKY-CHAN<3 (but unfortunately not in time for this weekend:( )

The week after I will be attending Castle fest which is a medieval fantasy fair. I used to go every year but stopped going after it rained every time I went.
But lately I've been getting back into my old roots and spiritual mind and decided to go this year and jsut enjoy the whole atmosphere. I really do miss it.
I'll be attending with another Lolita friend but we wont be dressed in Lolita though. I thought I'd keep it traditional and go dressed in a pagan dress of mine. Nice and comfy and easy washed if it should get dirty.

The day after I will be meeting up with a Lolita from Germany whom I had met on EGL. I had bought a dress from her and she came up with the lovely idea to save me shipping costs and meet up instead.
I'm very much looking forward to it and cant wait to receive my Fruit Punch Soda dress from Metamorphose from her too.

On the 18th I've planned a photoshoot with two other Lolita freinds of mine. I've really been craving to do a Lolita shoot one day and I'm so looking forward to it. I've made a whole list of probs that could be used and have even been dreaming about which outfits I want to wear. I've evern organised a make-up artist to come do our hair and make-up. Talk about lucky and organised :) I feel if I'm going to plan a meeting or event it has to be done 100%. I want people to leave screaming that they've had such a great time ^-^.
After the shoot we will have a party at my friends house and more guests can arrive. My friend has a mega swimming pool and if the weather is good we can go for a swim:D OMG I've been dying to swim in it!

The day afterwards is the official Lolita summer meet from my community. I'm still pondering if I should go or not as I didn't really enjoy myself last year and that quite a few people were very unfriendly to me.
Some close friends will be attending this year so maybe it will be different, but I'll see.

The week after that I am free from work for a whole week! *YAY*
I have the strangest feeling that my boyfriend will be suprising me with something. It was actaully the plan to go to Paris, but as I'll be jobless after August passes it's not going to happen. It's a big shame as I was really looking forward to it.

And for the big finally; end of September is my birthday and I will be celebrating it big and in Lolita style.
I'm already planning and organizing everything now and have sent my invites to my guests in advance as I want them all to attend. It's going to be a funfilled day full of suprises for my guests ^-^.

Well that's it for now. I will update with more reports and pictures of my events to come.

The "other" princesses

I wanted to take a moment and think about all the pricesses that were mentioned in films. There are quite a few and it's  a shame the only a handful get most of the attention.
Recetly I've come accross alot of artwork portratyin the ongoing stike of the so called "lesser" princesses. But I think they deserve jsut as must attention then the Disney ones.

Some of my favorite non-Disney princesses are Thumbelina, Odette the swan princess, Anastasia, Lady Amalthea (the last unicorn, also my favorite movie ever!) and Marina the mermaid.

I believe that Thumbelina, Lady Amalthea and Marina are the prettiest princesses around. They've got such lovely faces and features. Plus all have amazingly long hair.
I've been a very fond of magical creatures since a young age and I have to admite that mermaids, unicorns and fairies are my favorite. They're so magical and mystical. Plus they could even be real, so giving me the hope that maybe one day I could come accross one.

Her eye and beautiful white hair is breath taking.

I love her eyes. They're far from this world.

Just look at her cute little cheeks^-^

Another little princess I really like is princess Eilonwy. She appeared in the "Disney" film The black cauldron. I don't know how popular the film was but I don't think it was a very frequently watched film. Even so I used to love watching it. I was only of the first scary Disney films I had ever watched as a child. The king was such an ugly and creepy looking thing.
I absolutely adored her little posh accent. She sounded so cute and well bought up. Kind makes me think of a little Lolita maiden.

Another little princess was Iriene, from the princess and the goblin. She reminds me a lot of Eilonwy, as she also speaks very posh. I just love that she's always out exploring. I also love her dress. It's so cute and elegant. Maybe worth making a coordinate inspired by her ^_^

So lets give these wonderful beautiful princesses credit for their wonderful stories and lives they're shared with us in order to make out lives just as princessy and interesting.

My favorite things: Chocolate

It's strange really, because I never liked chocolate as a child and now I'm crazy about it.
When I think of cake, I think of chocolate cake, and then of other cake flavors. I believe chocolate is alot of people's favorite sweet. Apparently some people are addicted to it. I can safely say that I am not a choco-addict but I sometimes do feel pressured in situations surrounded my delicious chocolate treats. Or having a sweet tooth after dinner.
I'm not a fan of milk chocolate (as in bar chocolate) it hurts my teeth. There's more sugar in milk chocolate, than dark chocolate.
If I have to name my favorite chocolate treat it would probably be brownie and chocolate Subway cookies. I like doughy and chewy chocolate cakes. They're so enjoyable and just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
So I've included a delicious virtual choco-treat for you all! Enjoy!

Hmm doesn't it look tasty?

A wish to come true?

I'm so excited. I've promised myself and my boyfriend that if I pass my probation period at work and receive a new 6 month contract that we will go to Disneyland to celebrate!

We'll then be off for a full week to Paris and stay at a lovely little hotel. Nothing special just to please the standard needs as we are planning to be out the whole day anyway.

And while I'm in Paris why not visit the BTSSB and Angelic Pretty boutiques. I've wanted to go there for a while but hadn't the time to visit Paris, as money was a little short. Another thing I've always wanted to do was visit Disneyland when it's beautifully decorated in Halloween/Autumn style. Autumn is one of my favorite seasons because I love the arrays of colours and the fact that I can dress up all warm. What a good excuse to wear Lolita then :-)

Even if it's only for a week, I think we'll have a blast of a time. My boyfriends never been to Paris before so we'll be doing all the standard tourist viewing as visiting the Eiffel towel. Which this time I will reach the very top of. Goal SET!

Start of my favorite things psot

Seeing that I'm quite absent on my blog, even though I really try to write as often as I can, I've decided to write about my favorite things. A fellow blogger inspired me to do this too as I love reading about her favorite things.

I will start this series from now on and hope to let you know a little about myself. Which is something I haven't felt I've done enough of.

So here we go!

Freshly mown grass.

I just love walking outside in the summer when it's been nice and warm and smell freshly cut grass. It reminds me a lot of my childhood, as I lived in a little village located in a forest. I used to love watching my granddad cut  the grass and enjoyed picking up the remembrances of grass afterwards. I used to throw them amount and building huge piles to bury myself into. I really miss those summer days. I remember that I was always so happy. Every time I smell it I get a whiff of my childhood passing by.

International Lolita Day and Tea party

First of all Happy Belated Lolita Day! I hope you all had a lovely time! And made something nice of your day. Let me know what you did I'm very curious to know.
Well I celebrated Lolita day for the first time this year. Last year I totally forgot and I ended up doing something not very Lolita like.
But this year I received my new dress:D I also baked (loads), wrote to my pen pals wishing them a great day and attended a tea party the day afterwards. Which I will get to shortly.

Firstly I'd like to coo about my lovely new dress. Which I've fallen in love with already. I'm not too sure what it's called but it's got Hansel and Gretel on it with a little gingerbread house. It's in pink JSK with buttons at the front. Which, may I say, are very convenient. I prefer taking my dresses off that way. And may I remark that this dress is SUPER comfy. It's the most comfortable dress I own. I bought the dress 2nd hand from a forum member. I'm so glad she was selling it ^-^.

Here a few photo's of the outfit (which I also wore to the tea party the day after).

I was so happy with this chord. It was one of the first co-ordinations that I actually felt like a real Lolita in. It made me feel really happy.

Coming on to the Tea party, my dear friend Deborah has organised a lovely tea party at her house. I absolutely love her tea parties. They're always such fun and the food is always delicious. She basically makes most of the stuff my herself. The rest of us also bought our share of cupcakes and salads.
Attending ladies were, Rowan, Toty, me and of course our host Deborah. Though the group was small we still had a blast.

I ate my first macaroon that day. I had never been very fond of them. They strangely reminded me of merengue. Which taste utterly disgusting. But I had to admit that macaroons are actually quite nice tasting. Mine was pretty pink and strawberry flavoured. Hmm my favorite. The one I ate was also home made.

Once again I had a lovely day and I was so glad to send it with such lovely ladies.

I hope to write a new entry soon. But this is it for now.
